The YPG’s message was as follows:
To the respected members of the Ceasefire Monitoring Coordination…
On Monday 14 March 2016 at 20.45, soldiers of the Turkish army attacked YPG positions in Xerezê near Amude, north of Hasakah.
The aim of the attack the YPG said was to “build a wall in on the Syrian side of the Turkey-Syria border.”
YPG and SDF forces accused the Turkish Armed Forces of violating the ceasefire for the first time on 28 February a day after it came into effect in Syria.
