A hole left by Turkish bombardment on civilian areas

Turkish warplanes once again bombarded civilian settlements in South Kurdistan's (N.Iraq) Qandil region last night.
Houses in the villages of Lewce and Bukrîskan were damaged during the attack.
Accompanied by drones, Turkish warplanes bombarded Qandil between 03:00 and 05:00. Electricity poles and infrastructure were destroyed, houses were damaged, and many trees were burnt in the villages of Lewce and Bukrîskan.
Kalatuka and Suredê were also bombarded during the two hour attack. There was no loss of life according to reports.
Turkish warplanes had previously bombarded the villages of Zergele, Lewce, and Enzê, killing tens of civilians.
People's Defence Forces (HPG) guerrillas of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) also confirmed reports of the attacks on civilian areas and also reported separate attacks by the Turkish military on Medya Defence Zones controlled by guerrillas.
The HPG said there had been mortar, howitzer and tank attack by the Turkish military in several areas on the border of North Kurdistan (Turkey) and South Kurdistan (Iraq) throughout the day.
Qandil lies at the border between North, South and East (Iranian) Kurdistan. Mount Qandil is the main base for PKK guerrillas.
