It has been reported that clashes between ISIS and the YPG-Peshmerga forces have intensified in the northeast region of Kobane. Coalition airstrikes are also continuing against ISIS in the city.
The Commander of the Peshmerga force that are in Kobane, Abdulkahar Mecid, said that the clashes intensify during the nights.
Medics said that currently the battle is one of light arms and hand grenades fought in close quarters, but that ISIS had been broken and was retreating back to the outskirts of the city.
The Peshmerga Commander also said that 20 families had returned to their homes in the centre of Kobane from the camps near the border.
ISIS is continuing to fire mortars at the Mursitpinar border crossing.
