An explosion on the Diyarbakir-Urfa motorway in Southeast Turkey (North Kurdistan) has left 6 police officers dead and at least 23 people injured.

The explosion occurred at around 15:15 (GMT) when a bomb-laden vehicle exploded as an armoured minibus carrying police officers passed by. The force of the explosion shattered and broke many windows in the surrounding area.
