BREAKING: Ankara Police: The Attack Was Against Us

It has been stated that the attack in Ankara’s central Kizilay Square, in which 27 people died and 75 injured, was “an attack against a Riot Police control point”. 


According to security sources contacted by the Turkish daily Hürriyet, preliminary evaluations by the police state that the attack targeted two minibuses containing police in riot gear that are permanently stationed in the central Kizilay Square as a precautionary measure against flash protests. 


Reports have been coming in that a significant number of those killed were in fact members of the police force.
