Megan Connelly

Megan Connelly is a Ph.D. candidate in SUNY University at Buffalo's department of Political Science where she is researching civil wars, peace agreements and power sharing. She ha conducted research in North and South Kurdistan and written and presented several papers on the Kurdistan Region of Iraq at national and international conferences, including The Failure of Power-Sharing in the Kurdistan Region (American Political Science Association, 2016), Power Sharing, Autonomy, and Conflict in Greater Kurdistan: Exploring the Effects of Transnational Group Power on Intrastate Conflict (Southern Political Science Association, 2015) and the award-winning Federalism, Consociation, and Ethnic Conflict (New York State Political Science Association, 2014, Best Paper). She has previously contributed analyses to The Pasewan, a bilingual English-Kurdish news website.
